DATE OF MEETING:
Wednesday, November 29, 2006

TIME OF MEETING:
6:30 P.M. until 7:30 P.M.

PLACE OF MEETING:
Plymouth Cultural Center, 525 Farmer Street (10 blocks east of Sheldon on Farmer) Plymouth, MI 48170

An information meeting will be hosted by the County of Wayne to provide information to citizens and business owners about the Sheldon Road Underpass project. Representatives from the City of Plymouth and The Charter Township of Plymouth will be at the meeting. Representatives from MDOT, CSX Railroad and the contractor, Walter Toebe Construction have been invited to attend.

This project will close Sheldon Road for nearly two years while contractors build a bridge for the trains, an underpass for Sheldon Road traffic, and move a major water main serving the City of Plymouth. The construction process and important information such as detour routes will be discussed.

Preliminary work on the project has already started as utility crews have begun to move various telephone, electric and natural gas facilities out of the impact zone of the project. Sheldon Road is anticipated to close to traffic sometime shortly after Thanksgiving.
