Sheldon Road Underpass Project
Information Update December 18, 2006
Wayne County's contractor will be working on temporary
water connections on North Territorial Road just west of
Sheldon. The contractor has indicated that they will be saw
cutting the road today, 12/18/06, at that location. This
work will cause traffic back up at North Territorial and
Sheldon Road as they will be using flag people to direct
traffic around the construction.
Later in the day the County's contractor expects to move to
Sheldon Road just north of Ann Arbor Road. Again, they will
be saw cutting across the entire width of the roadway.
Traffic in this area is expected to back up as flag people
direct traffic around this construction zone, which will be
on Sheldon Road north of the Ann Arbor Road.
Both of these work locations are related to the County's
Sheldon Road Underpass project. Sheldon Road at the CSX
Railroad remains open at this time. County Engineers have
informed us that they do not anticipate closing Sheldon Road
until after the New Year.
