Absentee Ballot Applications
As a courtesy, this office will forward absent voter applications to all
registered voters who request it. Registered voters who have a recognized
disability or have attained the age of 60 can be placed on a permanent list upon
request. Please call the Clerk’s Office for additional information. We cannot
process an absentee ballot for you until such time as you sign and return the
completed application requesting the ballot. The applications are generally
mailed out 6 weeks prior to an election. If you are on our list to receive an
application and do not receive it, please contact our office so that we may
print and mail a new application to you.
If you meet any one of the following requirements you are also eligible to
request and receive an absentee ballot:
- If you expect to be absent from the community in which you are registered
for the entire time the polls are open on election day.
- If you are physically unable to attend the polls without assistance from
another person.
- If you cannot attend the polls because of the tenets of your religion.
- If you have been appointed an election precinct inspector in a precinct
other than the precinct where you are registered to vote.
- If you are 60 years of age or older.
- If you are confined to jail awaiting arraignment or trial.
Please come in to the Clerks office and request an Absentee Ballot
Application or call and request one at (734) 354-3228.
