ITEM NO. 1 - APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. Regular Meeting – October 2, 2003
Moved by Mr. Jachym, supported by Mr. Levengood, to approve the minutes of the
Regular Meeting of October 2, 2003, as presented. Ayes all, with Mr. Griffith
abstaining because he was not present at the meeting.

The applicant is requesting one variance:
1. The existing primary residence has an approximate fifty (50) foot rear yard
setback. With the proposed fourteen (14) foot x seventeen (17) foot, six (6)
inch addition, the proposed rear yard setback would be thirty nine point two
(39.2) feet. The applicant is requesting a variance of ten point eight (10.8)
feet.
Mr. Bernard L. Van Ark, applicant, and Mr. Roy Hart, president of the
homeowners’ association, addressed the Board and answered questions.
Moved by Mr. Jachym, supported by Mr. Griffith, to grant a variance for
Application No. 1343, Bernard L. Van Ark, subject to the size of the addition
being reduced from 14 ft. to 13.6 ft., using the west dimension, thus leaving a
40 ft. setback. Ayes all.

setback. With the proposed twenty (20) x ten (10) foot addition, the proposed
rear yard setback would be forty seven point five (47.5) feet. The applicant is
requesting a variance of two point five (2.5) feet.
Mr. Dennis Warner, applicant, addressed the Board and answered questions.
Moved by Mr. Griffith, supported by Mr. Jachym, to approve the 2.5 ft. rear yard
setback variance requested in Application 1344, Dennis & Amy Warner. Ayes all.
Mr. Sturdy entered the meeting at 5:25 p.m.
Moved by Mr. Jachym, supported by Mr. Griffith, to adjourn the meeting. Ayes
all.
