Downtown Development Authority Board Minutes
March 4, 2002

Chairman Mann called the meeting to order at 4 p.m.

Moved by Mr. Kolb, seconded by Mr. Cook, to approve the minutes of the meeting of the Downtown Development Authority held Monday, February 25, 2002, as presented. Ayes all.

Mr. Mann administered the oath of office to Ms Hovey who was absent from the organizational meeting.

OLD BUSINESS

Clarification of By-Law Language

Moved by Ms Spencer, seconded by Mr. Grutza, to rescind the previous approval of the by-laws. Ayes all.

Moved by Ms Hovey, seconded by Mr. Kolb, to approve the corrected by-laws, subject to changing Section 3 of Article XIV, Payments, to "AUTHORITY" instead of "BOARD."

Ayes all.

Moved by Mr. Cook, seconded by Mr. Grutza, that Township Treasurer Ron Edwards be nominated as Treasurer of the Downtown Development Authority. Moved by Ms Spencer, seconded by Ms Hovey, to close the nominations. Motion to elect Mr. Edwards carried unanimously.

NEW BUSINESS

TIF and Development Plan - Possible tentative adoption

The members reviewed the TIF and Development Plan with Mr. McFadyen and suggested changes and corrections to be made.

Request Township Board schedule the Public Hearing on Ann Arbor Road TIF and Development Plan for April 9, 2002, Board Meeting.

Moved by Ms Spencer, seconded by Mr. Grutza, to request that the Township Board schedule the Public Hearing on the Ann Arbor Road TIF and Development Plan for the April 9, 2002, Board Meeting. Ayes all.

Mrs. Ludtke requested that the Authority be kept abreast of payments made to third party consultants on behalf of the Authority.

PUBLIC COMMENT – There was none.

Moved by Mr. Cook, seconded by Mr. Kolb, to adjourn the meeting at 5:02 p.m.
