At the December 13 Board of Trustees Meeting Chief James Knittel and the Police Department’s accreditation leadership team received the Michigan Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission (MLEAC) Certificate. With over 588 police agencies in Michigan, PTPD is one of 53 who have earned this accreditation, capping off a 3-year process where every officer and 911 dispatcher participated to make sure our Police achieved the highest levels of professionalism and accountability.
