Important Message Regarding Sidewalk Program Delays

Residents in 2023 Sidewalk Replacement Program Zone “3” which is the area bounded by Beck, M-14, Canton Center and Joy Road:  The Township sidewalk program has experienced some unforeseen delays that have unexpectedly extended the removal/replacement duration beyond the allowable time provided for within the Township's contract with the Contractor.  The Contractor is actively working to address these issues, but experienced an unexpected loss of key staff due to a family emergency which resulted in work being suspended.  The Township is working closely with the Contractor to resolve the issue in a timely manner.  The sidewalks currently removed will be replaced this week, while the remaining sidewalks scheduled for replacement will most likely be delayed a couple of weeks.  Restoration of lawn and sprinklers will also continue until all of those items are addressed.
